The Sonoma CH250/CH350 Series is a high-performance continuous motion vertical form fill and seal machine designed for traditional and fragile products. This modular system offers continuous movement that enhances packaging speed, ensuring 100% hermetic seals without pausing. Tested at up to 200 cycles per minute, it prevents product damage and leakage, making it ideal for high-speed packaging needs.

MATERIAL & BUILD QUALITY

The machine features a continuous motion system with parts in contact with the product made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and is suitable for various bag types, including pillow, gusset, block bottom, and string bags.

DRIVE & CONTROL SYSTEM

The main movements are driven by independent brushless servo motors, while a single motion-controller system replaces the PLC, coordinating all servo motors and control functions.

SEALING & HEATING

The machine provides continuous vertical and horizontal sealing for 100% non-leakage and smooth operation, with a P.I.D Heating System ensuring precise and stable heat sealing.

TENSION & FILM HANDLING

The Self-Centering Drive Belt with adjustable pneumatic pressure ensures precise film feeding, while the Film Tension Sensor monitors tension levels, and the Dancer Arm Roller maintains smooth, continuous tension for bag forming and registration.

USER INTERFACE & MONITORING

The machine features a 12” industrial PC man-machine interface (diskless, fan-less, low power) with Microsoft Windows XP Embedded, offering remote access capability, easy software updates, and a display screen for safety and operational messages.

SAFETY FEATURES

The machine automatically stops if the safety doors are incorrectly closed or if there’s an operation malfunction, and includes an out-of-film signal that triggers an automatic stop and facilitates quick roll changes.

FILLLING SYSTEMS & MATERIALS

The film cut-off uses a photo eye or incremental encoder, with an Auto-Film Centering System for automatic film alignment and an Auto Film-Unwinding Unit with an independent motor and expansion-type reel-holder shaft.
