Track & Trace
TRACK
From the carton to the warehouse
The identity of every pack, kept intact
Track Int’l Trade builds the stations and the software for a pharmaceutical track-and-trace program. A carton is printed with a unique GS1 DataMatrix. Cases and pallets inherit that identity. Level 3 holds the serials, the work orders and the record that goes to ERP, to GS1 and to the Egyptian Drug Authority.
Egypt’s national system, EPTTS, follows each secondary pack — the smallest saleable unit — from production or import, through the warehouse, to the point of dispensing. Plants, distribution companies and 3PLs need printing, inspection, aggregation and a data layer that work as one system. That is this range.

How a serialized pack moves
01 — Serialize
Put an identity on the carton
Folded, flat or inline. The DataMatrix carries GTIN, production date, expiry and serial number.
02 — Aggregate
Tie children to a parent
Bundle, outer case or pallet. The parent label is printed on the station and points back to the cartons inside.
03 — Record
Hold the serials at site level
Level 3 assigns the work order, stores the site data, and prepares what EPTTS and the ERP need.
04 — Move
Receive, store, dispatch
The 3PL and warehouse system keeps that identity intact from inbound scan to outbound shipment.
Why the record has to hold
One pack, one identity
Serialization gives every secondary pack a GS1 DataMatrix. A recall, a diversion check or a pharmacy scan can land on that pack, and on the batch it came from.
A parent you can open
Aggregation records which cartons went into which bundle, case and pallet. Warehouse and EDA scans of the parent resolve to the children inside.
A file the authority can take
Egypt’s EPTTS follows the secondary pack from production or import through storage and on to dispensing. Level 3 keeps the serials, the batch and the events that reporting is built from.
Match the right station to the right job
| If you need to… | You need | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Serialize erected cartons off a cartoner | Offline folded carton station | Manual packaging lines, rework, short batches |
| Code the blank before it is erected | Offline flat carton station | Carton blanks from 63.5 × 76.2 mm to 355 × 457 mm |
| Code cartons as the cartoner runs | Inline serialization station | Cartoning machines, up to 300 cartons a minute |
| Build bundle, case or pallet identity | Semi-automatic aggregation | Factories, 3PLs and warehouses; in-line aggregation quoted from a site survey |
| Run serials, orders and authority reporting | Level 3 software | One site on Site Manager, or several sites under Enterprise Manager |
| Receive, store and ship serialized goods | 3PL & warehouse management | Inbound verification, stock, dispatch, Honeywell scan and print |
