Offline Flat Carton
Serialization station

Code the blank before the carton is erected
Flat carton blanks are loaded into the station — up to 200 at a time — and carried on a belt at up to 50 metres a minute. Each blank is positioned, printed with a GS1 DataMatrix, inspected, and excluded if the code fails.
Throughput is up to 300 blanks a minute, depending on size. The printable range runs from 63.5 × 76.2 mm to 355 × 457 mm, and from 0.076 mm to 25.4 mm thick. Use it when the identity has to be on the carton before it is folded.
Flat blanks
The code goes on the carton blank, before erecting and packing.
Load of 200
A magazine of up to 200 blanks, so the operator is not feeding one at a time.
50 m/min belt
Up to 300 blanks a minute. The real rate depends on the size of the blank.
Same line software
SKU profiles, work orders, QC, export, live reports and the audit trail.
Blank versus erected carton
This station
For flat blanks. Positioning is enforced after the blank is fed, then the DataMatrix is printed and checked.
- Minimum blank 63.5 × 76.2 mm
- Maximum blank 355 × 457 mm
- Thickness 0.076 mm to 25.4 mm
When the carton is already folded
An erected carton belongs on the folded-carton station, or on the inline station if a cartoner is already in the line.
- Folded cartons: offline folded station
- Cartoning machine: inline station
- Top flap unlaminated, so the code prints and reads
