Tunnel Detectors

Detectronic metal detection

The most widely used arrangement on a food or factory belt

Product passes through a rectangular aperture on a belt. If metal is found, the contaminated pack is removed automatically. Detectronic supplies the detector head for a conveyor you already run, or a complete machine with stand, belt, controls and reject.

Track Int’l Trade specifies, supplies and supports these systems in Egypt — sized to the product, the belt height, and how hard the line is cleaned.

Packed and unpacked

Trays, bags, cartons, whole cuts, bread and ready meals — inspected at the end of the line, before the case.

Head or complete line

Drop a detector into an existing conveyor, or take a full unit with reject, bin and safety chain as one package.

Smallest possible aperture

Sensitivity falls as the opening grows. We size the tunnel to the product’s largest height and width, and no larger.

Fail-safe reject

Pusher, air blast, retracting belt, drop flap or belt stop — with reject confirmation, bin-full and low-air alarms.

Two ways to install

With conveyor

Detector, belt, stand, controls and automatic reject as one machine. Place it in the line, connect power and compressed air, and run.

  • Belt height matched to adjacent equipment
  • Reject system, lockable bin and confirmation sensors included
  • Options: centre-drive, side guides, speed control, curved belt, small rollers for short products

Detector head only

The same electronics and enclosure, for mounting into a conveyor you already have — or into a machine you are building.

  • Aperture built to the product’s largest dimensions
  • Interface drawings and electrical specifications supplied up front
  • You keep control of belt type, speed and layout — including OEM integration

Specify a tunnel detector for your line

Send Track a photo or drawing of the installation area, product size, belt height and how the line is cleaned. We will tell you whether a detector head or a complete conveyor system is the right Detectronic build.
